GML EQ Model 8200 Mk1 - ex Steve Levine SN 1095

GML EQ Model 8200 Mk1 - ex Steve Levine SN 1095

GML EQ Model 8200 Mk1 and power supply for sale. This is Steve Levine's original mk1 GML - 'handbuilt by George' [Massenburg] and used on many recordings by Steve over the years. Serial number 1095.

It's the first one we've seen that's this old - will have a full refurb before shipping as all the capacitors are all in need of replacement for future reliability.

This truly wondrous-sounding five band stereo parametric EQ is a studio essential  for mixing and mastering. The first parametric EQ ever made and remains in production to this day.

Some info from the GML site below, and this Attack Magazine GML Model 8200 article is great and has plenty of audio demos also.

From the GML Site:

The 8200 has been an industry standard for over twenty years, and can be found on virtually every major recording studio’s stereo bus. Each of the five broadly-overlapping bands offers 15dB of Boost or Cut and adjustable bandwidth (or “Q”) from 0.4 to 4. The lowest and highest bands also can be switched to Shelf mode. Quite simply, the 8200 is the archetype Stereo Parametric Equalizer. Its extraordinary resolution, benchmark transparency, generous headroom, and surgical precision have been the reference for many other equalizers but exceeded by no other. The 2U 8200 uses one 8355 PSU.
