Our appreciation for the CS series synths began with the CS80 we had come in as a commission sale some time back, but now we are definitely fans of the whole range.
The 30/30L was the top of their original range. The 30L is similar to the 30 but lacks the sequencer and has the built-in case with legs that screw into the base.
It's a monophonic synth with plenty of analogue control and shaping. Two oscillators with separate outputs, two voltage-controlled resonant filters, two voltage-controlled amplifiers and three envelopes. Also features a ring modulator and external audio triggering..
This Yamaha CS-30L is for sale in excellent cosmetic condition with only small signs of wear showing on the unit, including some very small scuffs around the edges of the face. Not pictured with the legs attached but they are present (attached inside the top of the case in the photo) and work as they should.. See photos for more information on cosmetic condition.
- 100v Japanese model - it will run fine on North American mains 115/120v without a transformer (we run all our tests using 120v power); however, a step-down transformer is recommended for extended use.
- A step-down transformer is required in the UK/EU.
- We do not recommend using cheap generic Chinese mains transformers and can supply a high quality UK-made unit if required.
