Wallace 25W Valve Amp

Wallace 25W Valve Amp

**VIDEO DEMO NOW ADDED**

This is a curiosity, but a superb-sounding one with some history. It's a Wallace, but according to the owner, was built later in Jim Wallace's career - we suspect following his 'retirement' to the Isle Of Wight (which is where it's come to us from).

It appears to have been constructed utilising parts from another amp and put into a case. The internal design is different to other Wallaces we've seen but, as ever with Jim Wallace amps, it's a high quality piece of kit putting out a very sweet 25W via a pair of KT88s. Our amp tech has been over it and it's in great, rock-solid working order.

Note that although you can see a Reverb control on the panel it does not have (nor has it ever had) a built in reverb.

It's pretty much impossible to put an exact age on this (many of the components predate Jim Wallace's move to the IOW) and we suspect he could have built it using older parts - possibly using an earlier prototype.

Click on the photos to see more shots including a full set of internals.

Please get in touch if you have any questions about this unusual piece of history.

For sale on consignment. If you have gear you want us to look at selling on your behalf please get in touch, and also see our Commission & Consignment page for more information.
