The first release in our new Soundgas Tortured Circuits series: a carefully crafted collection of 139 drum loops, one-shots, and analogue textures created by Tony Miln using the Soundgas Type 636 series and a wide array of exotic and vintage gear*.
This is not clean: it is a deep dive into the filth and noise of vintage circuitry performing at the extremes of their capacity. Raw, saturated sounds born of hands-on live dub mixing, hardware machinery driven hard into tape echo oscillation, feedback into spring reverbs, vintage harmonisers and digital delays, loopers, and vintage analogue processors.
Expect hiss, hum, grit, and the glorious chaos of real electronics pushed to the edge of oblivion.
