Soma Terra Organic Synthesizer
SOMA TERRA
SOMA TERRA is a hand-built wooden synthesizer that transforms touch and movement into sound. Tony has performed with it live - expressive, intuitive, and endlessly inspiring.
TERRA is one of those rare instruments that instantly feels alive under your hands. Designed by Vlad Kreimer at SOMA Laboratory, it’s a beautifully crafted wooden synthesizer that turns touch and movement into sound with remarkable expressiveness.
The keyboard combines twelve pressure - and velocity-sensitive pads with sensors for pitch shifting, timbre, and hold, letting you shape notes through feel rather than controls. A built-in motion sensor tracks hand and body movement, adding fluid modulation as you play.
Inside are 32 synthesis engines - each one a complete, playable instrument. There’s no menu-diving or programming, just direct connection between player and sound. Built-in effects and a custom analogue output stage give TERRA a clear, powerful tone that sits beautifully in a mix.
Each unit is carved from a single block of wood, finished by hand, and slightly different from the next - an instrument built to be played and lived with.
Tony has used TERRA on stage and in the Soundgas studio; it’s genuinely inspiring - tactile, immediate, and capable of sounds that feel both organic and other-worldly.
