Roland VX-55 Mixer with Spring Reverb

Roland VX-55 Mixer with Spring Reverb

Very cool 6 channel Japanese spring reverb mixer. Very useful as a studio tool - great sound.

These 70s Roland mixers sound great, especially when you overdrive the inputs - can really add punch to DAW beats and synths and have a superb built-in spring reverb (equivalent to the RE-201 spring). We've been getting lots of positive feedback from customers using them to add texture and colour to drum machines, synths etc. Check the stock list (link above) for more models.

Output is via a single, mono 1/4" jack at the rear. Also has an effect send and return which can be assigned to any of the channels in place of the internal spring reverb. Note that, unlike some of our previous VX-55s, this one does not have the phono and aux option on the first two channels - instead all six channels are identical.

Serviced and working well. Note that the amp section has not been tested with speakers attached.

Condition is excellent with only minor signs of age. The pots and switches are fine, though it's possible that some crackle may develop over time, especially when unused - this will usually clear with use. See photos for more information on cosmetic condition.

See our social media feeds for these mixers in action in plenty of our demos.

For sales in UK/EU the price will include VAT. VAT-free sales are possible to businesses and individuals in the EU (outside the UK) with a valid VAT Number - please get in touch if you wish to buy this way.

  • It is a 100v Japanese model and will run fine on North American mains 115/120v without a transformer (we run all our tests using 120v power); however, a step-down transformer is essential if you are using the internal amp to drive speakers (this is not necessary in order to use it as an EQ/effect but is still recommended for extended use).
  • A step-down transformer is required in the UK/EU. We supply this 100va unit which will work for this mixer (you can also buy with a euro plug from that listing).
  • We do not recommend using cheap generic Chinese mains transformers.
