KORG MONO/POLY MP-4

KORG MONO/POLY MP-4

Superb Korg Mono/Poly MP-4 for sale in excellent cosmetic condition and perfect working order.

In excellent condition for its age; faceplate has one particularly-noticeable scratch, otherwise it's just the usual minor scuffs/scratches and smudges consistent with a well-preserved 35 year-old synth.

One key has a scratch; the 'wooden' casing is in excellent order with only minor scuffs and dings.

Click on the photos to zoom in and see detailed photos, but be aware that the usual minor smudges and scuffs on these synths do not show up well on photos. Overall this is an incredibly tidy monster of a synth, but it is a used instrument.

It's just been serviced and recalibrated by James Walker at Synth Repair Services - including a thorough strip-down and rebuild - so is working flawlessly. It sounds stunning - these are powerful and flexible synths with great sound-design capabilities. Definitely my favourite Korg of this era.

It is a 100v Japanese model and will run fine on North American mains 115/120v without a transformer (we run all our tests using 120v power); a step-down transformer is recommended for extended use.

A step-down transformer is required in the UK/EU.

We do not recommend using cheap generic Chinese mains transformers and can supply a high quality UK-made unit if required.

Price includes VAT at 20% (for sales in UK/EU) - buyers outside the EU please contact us for tax-free price. Ex-VAT sales possible to businesses and individuals in the EU with a valid VAT Number.

There are no known faults with this synth - in use, wheels, switches and pots move smoothly and noiselessly. (Please note: it is always possible with vintage equipment that some crackly pots/sliders may develop over time when equipment has not been used - even during shipping - this can usually be easily rectified either by use or with a bit of switch-cleaning spray).

Below are a couple of YouTube clips that demonstrate what this synth can do (with thanks to the uploaders); some effects have been added.
