Serial number 30661 is in truly stunning overall condition, has been freshly serviced by us and is now ready to ship. This one is in exceptional condition - rare to find one as good as this, especially with the original cover.
One of our very favourite beatboxes from probably our favourite manufacturer. There is something very special about the Keio range and this is the pinnacle of their beatbox building before they became Korg (and gave us the KR55/KR55B). All the Keio machines have a distinct sound and woody tonality, but the MP-7's Quijada and Guiro voices really set it apart from the crowd. There are seemingly endless permutations of the 20 preset rhythms to be had by multiple button presses and using the faders to bring in/out various voices. Highly recommended.
The Keio Minipops MP-7 is a classic vintage analogue drum machine from the early 1970s. Built by Keio Electronic Laboratories (who later became Korg), and from the great wooden-box era of drum machine/beatboxes with wonderful warm, woody tones and rhythms packed with character. Utterly inspiring and unmistakeable!
Famously used by Jean Michel Jarre on Oxygene (amongst others), the Minipops 7 remains one of our absolute favourite beat boxes of all time.
It's a 100v unit so requires a step-down transformer for UK/EU use.
