IBANEZ AD-220

IBANEZ AD-220

Offered for sale is this ultra-rare Ibanez AD-220 in good cosmetic condition and excellent working order. These don't come up for sale very often, and having spent a long time tracking one down, it wasn't hard to understand why. This analogue delay/flanger is about as good as it gets for a vintage rackmount bbd delay. With that fantastic Ibanez analogue delay sound, low noise floor (compared to other BBD delays) and some great features - especially the modulation options on the delay - this is a seriously good unit. It's just been serviced and is in perfect working order.

This comes from an era when Ibanez were making real top-flight gear in small quantities - this weighs a ton and is very solidly-built. The thickness of the delays and sound quality has to be heard to be believed - the buffer works wonders on a guitar signal; there's something that's just 'right' about how this works and sounds. It has a few scuffs and scratches to the paintwork, and has had the modulation width pot/knob replaced, but otherwise is in good order for a unit that's around 30 years old (see detailed photos).

There are no known operational faults with this unit. (Please note: it is always possible with vintage equipment that some crackly pots/sliders may develop over time when equipment has not been used - even during shipping - this can usually be easily rectified either by use or judicious application of suitable switch-cleaning spray).

It is a UK 240v unit - buyers from USA/Canada and countries with a 110v mains supply will require a step-up transformer. For overseas countries with 240v power, the UK plug will be removed prior to shipping unlesss otherwise requested.
