HOHNER MASTER FUZZ by SHIN-EI

HOHNER MASTER FUZZ by SHIN-EI

The Hohner Master Fuzz - a variation of one of the greatest and gnarliest fuzz pedals of all time: made by Shin-ei in Japan for Hohner - the same circuit as the Shaftesbury Duo Fuzz or equally infamous Univox Superfuzz.

The name is really irrelevant - Master Control, Duo Fuzz or Super Fuzz - the sound is what counts: it's basically two very different shades of monstrous filth - ripping chainsaw fuzz or brutal octave-ish wildness.

This pedal is in excellent working order & very good cosmetic condition for a pedal dating from the mid 60s to the early 70s (see detailed photos). It's been serviced by our pedal expert and is sounding stunning.

Here's a YouTube clip to give an idea of the sound (with thanks to the uploader):
This pedal is in good working order - no crackly pots or noisy switch issues.
(Please note: it is always possible with vintage equipment that some crackly pots/sliders may develop over time when equipment has not been used - even during shipping - this can usually be easily rectified either by use or with a bit of switch-cleaning spray).

Fitted with a battery and ready to play.
