ELECTRO-HARMONIX BIG MUFF PI
Offered for sale is this V2 Ram's Head Big Muff vintage guitar pedal dating from 1976.
It's got the usual scuffs, scratches and dings you'd expect from a 40 year-old EH pedal.
One pot has been replaced.
The cosmetics are of course secondary to the sound - a pedal in this condition can only be described as a player's pedal - and what a sound: very similar to a Triangle Muff, thick, smooth and monstrous - not as raucous as the later variants.
Circuit is quiet, pots scratch-free, controls effective, stomp foot switch positive action.
This pedal is in great working order & excellent cosmetic condition for a pedal dating from the early 70s.
This pedal is in perfect working order - no crackly pots or noisy switch issues.
(Please note: it is always possible with vintage equipment that some crackly pots/sliders may develop over time when equipment has not been used - even during shipping - this can usually be easily rectified either by use or with a bit of switch-cleaning spray).
