1957 FENDER PRINCETON 5F2 Tweed

1957 FENDER PRINCETON 5F2 Tweed

'Tweed' Fender Princeton valve (tube) amp dating from June 1957 in very good cosmetic condition for a 57 year-old amp and excellent working order.

It's in very good condition and is working well - serviced and earthed correctly to comply with safety regulations. This is a great home and recording amp: it sounds fantastic and has tone for days. It's had a replacement handle fitted at some point, and has had a small dab of something on the speaker - presumably a minor repair - but this doesn't appear to affect the sound adversely. Whilst the amp sounds great and the speaker works well, we advise that it's a wise move to fit a modern driver in these old amps: it depends on what you want to use it for, but the tonal benefits can be impressive (and the you save wear and tear on the original).

These are rapidly-appreciating amps investment-wise and not common in Europe - a step up from the more well-known Champs, but offering a wider tonal palette thanks to the tone control and a bit more depth from the larger cab.

It is a USA 110v mains unit so will require a step-down transformer for UK/EU use.
